Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Officially Confirmed For WrestleMania 34; First Two Competitors Announced
Despite rumors that the annual bout might not take place at this year’s WrestleMania, in the eleventh hour WWE has officially confirmed that the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival announced on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW that they will compete in the over-the-top-rope match with the intention of becoming the first ever duo to collectively win the memorial trophy. We’re not sure exactly how that would work, but good luck to the former NXT Tag Team Champions…
This will be the fifth year in a row that the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal takes place at WrestleMania. Past winners include Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin and most recently Mojo Rawley. The match has included as little as 20 competitors and as much as 33 including surprise NXT call-ups and celebrity guest appearances.
