Bayern man ‘could sign for Man Utd or Chelsea in next fortnight’
Bayern Munich defender David Alaba could reportedly sign for a Premier League club in the next fortnight with Man Utd and Chelsea interested.
The Austrian has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City where he would link up with former Bayern boss Pep Guardiola, with reports back in July that he was the Spaniard’s primary target.
Before Leroy Sane joined the Bavarians, it was rumoured that Alaba could be used in the deal that would take the winger to the Allianz. Instead, the Bundesliga club stumped up £54.8m for the Germany international.

However, Sky Sports thinks ‘their interest may have cooled’ after they failed to include Alaba in the Sane transfer.
They add that Man Utd and Chelsea ‘are keen on the Austrian defender’ with Alaba set to ‘decide his future’ when Bayern end their Champions League campaign, with their semi-final against Lyon tonight.
The 28-year-old ‘has rejected the €15m-a-year deal Bayern have offered’ with Alaba and the German club ‘poles apart’. Alaba wants parity with the clubs top earners, with the likes of Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski earning a lot more than him.
