Becky Lynch defeated both “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and “The Queen” Charlotte Flair this Sunday night, in front of a sold out crowd at MetLife Stadium, in what will go down as the first ever women’s wrestling main event in the 35-year history of WrestleMania.
The match, billed as “Winner Takes All”, saw both the Raw Women’s Championship and the Smackdown Women’s Championship defended simultaneously. With her big victory, that makes Lynch a four-time WWE champion.
The main event bout wasn’t without its controversy, however. While all three competitors certainly took a beating (both Ronda and Charlotte were seen bleeding by the end), The Man’s win wasn’t as decisive as many had hoped. Lynch reversed Rousey’s signature Piper’s Pit into an awkward pin attempt, scoring the three-count despite the now-former champion’s shoulder’s potentially leaving the mat.
