‘Fantastic’ Greenwood extends Man Utd contract until 2025
Mason Greenwood has signed a contract extension with Manchester United until 2025, with an option of an extra year.
The striker joined Man United when he was just six-years-old. He starred for their youth team before making his Premier League debut in March 2019 when he was just 17-years-old.
Greenwood was a regular for the Red Devils last season as he was quick to impress for his boyhood club.

The youngster scored 17 times from his 49 outings as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s secured a place in the top four in the Premier League.
His form has dipped a little this season, with him only scoring four times from his 29 appearances. But he did get on the scoresheet as Man United beat Liverpool 3-2 in the FA Cup fourth round in January.
Overall, Greenwood has 21 goals and ten assists from his 82 games for Manchester United since 2019. Speaking via the club’s official website, Solskjaer suggested that the forward has developed into “one of the best young players in the country”:
“Mason is a fantastic talent and yet another fine example of the type of player that our Academy produces. He has made great progress this season, showing real maturity and adaptability to his game, which has seen him develop into one of the best young players in the country.
“Whilst it is easy for people outside of the club to forget that Mason is just 19. It is our job as coaches to ensure he reaches his phenomenal potential and every step we take is to help him along that path.
“Mason is naturally gifted and has a brilliant attitude; we know how important he is going to be for Manchester United over the coming seasons.”
