– Prior to his departure from WWE this year, Goldust suggested that he face brother Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XXVIII. Speaking to the Pro Wrestling Torch Livecast (listen here), his idea was presented to Triple H and the creative writers committee, and then Vince McMahon for approval. When it was presented to McMahon, the WWE commander balked. Goldust said he understood his decision since it’s company, but felt the encounter “could have been money” had it been added to the pay-per-view extravaganza. He would still like the match to occur should he return to WWE for a sixth go-round.

– Triple H is featured on the cover of the August 2012 issue of WWE Magazine scowling and grasping two sledgehammers. The cover headline reads “THE KING OF RAW – WILL TRIPLE H REIGN OVER BROCK LESNAR?”

– Two weeks before Charlie Sheen, star of the new FX sitcom, Anger Management, is scheduled to join WWE as the Celebrity Social Media Ambassador for the historic 1,000th episode of Raw SuperShow, the award-winning and “winning” actor has deleted his Twitter account.

According to TMZ.com, Sheen gave the heave-ho to the social media platform and its 7.7 million followers because he felt it was not beneficial to his career. Before shutting down the account, he tweeted late Thursday evening, “Reach for the stars everyone. dogspeed cadre. c out.”
