The sold-out event was, according to a press release, attended by over 300 guests including well-known names from racing, fashion and media, many of whom arrived dressed in race and season-appropriate spring floral looks.
The event was hosted by television presenters Emma Vosti and James Tobin and included a number of memorable highlights which began the moment guests arrived on the pink carpet at the Moët & Chandon Garden. Attendees sipped on Champagne and Gordon’s Pink Gin cocktails and dined on a two-course lunch while enjoying the event’s proceedings, which even included a 10-tier Moët & Chandon Champagne tower (see above).
One key highlight was when Melbourne Cup-winning jockey, Michelle Payne—whose story the hit 2019 film is based on—took part in an inspiring “Women in Power” panel along with luxury property group Black Diamondz’s, founder Monika Tu, and leading radio figure, Cherie Romaro.
Yet another was the fashions on the field element which included a runway show featuring new season spring racewear from luxury retailer, Harrolds, with guests gleaning sartorial inspiration for their next racing carnival event outing.
Australian singer and Australia’s Got Talent host, Ricki-Lee Coulter treated the guests to a live performance and a handful of lucky attendees went home with prizes including one prize-winner who took home a $25,000 Nic Cerrone diamond pendant.
Former Australian cricketer and founder of the McGrath Foundation, Glenn McGrath, also spoke at the event about Breast Cancer Awareness month and the specialist McGrath Breast Care nurses, which the raffle proceeds from the event will be donated to.
