New Tottenham manager needs to be ‘ambitious’, says Hojbjerg
Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is hoping the club appoints an ‘ambitious’ new manager.
The north London side are still searching for Jose Mourinho’s replacement after the Portuguese was sacked in April.
Former player Ryan Mason has been put in temporary charge until the end of the season, giving the club time to search for a long-term solution.

The new manager looks set for an important summer as several loose ends need tying up.
Tottenham will be hoping to retain the services of star man Harry Kane, who has been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City.
They may also target a permanent move for Gareth Bale. The Wales international has been in good form since his return to the starting lineup.
Whoever comes in will also be able to make use of the new £1billion stadium, which will soon benefit from the return of fans.
When asked about a new boss, Hojbjerg said: “It is a difficult question, it is not one I can answer, or one I want to answer.
“But Tottenham is an ambitious club and we need an ambitious coach.”
The 25-year-old scored in the 2-0 win over Wolves on Sunday which kept Tottenham’s top six hopes alive.
They need six points from their final two games to have any chance of qualifying for the Europa League.
Hojbjerg continued: “We really want to be there, we really want to be a part of it.
“We don’t only want to be a part of it, we want to win it as well. So it will be fantastic to get into the Europa League and try and win it.
“It’s always good to finish above the rivals but most important is to reach the target.
“We haven’t reached the ultimate target that we wanted to reach. We had a cup final so we had the chance to win some silverware, we didn’t do that, so the disappointment is of course there.
“But now we have to be in the present and the present is to achieve and try and be part of the top six, top five and miraculously top four. Again we will try and do our things and see what happens.”
Mourinho and Tottenham enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, topping the Premier League table in December.
However, a poor run of results, which also saw them crash out of the Europa League, became the manager’s downfall.
Tottenham have already missed out on top coaches Julian Nagelsmann and Erik ten Hag. They’ve been linked with Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
