According to Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program, majority of the production staff in WWE doesn’t want to go to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel and this is the general sentiment that most in the company share. Management however wants to go ahead with the show as they are afraid that if they pull out, it will hurt the company’s stock price. One of the reasons the stock is high is due to the revenue from The Saudi Arabia deal which is pumping in a ton of extra revenue for the company.
After SmackDown 1000 & Mixed Match Challenge went off the air last Tuesday night, there was a dark main event that saw SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch retain her SmackDown Women’s Title over Charlotte Flair. Backstage sources noted that Becky Lynch won the match with a roll-up and immediately left. After the match, Charlotte Flair stayed behind and hung around with fans.
