Undisputed Era Recaptures NXT Tag Team Titles, O’Reilly Breaks a Record
The Undisputed Era is back on top of the mountain!
Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defeated the Street Profits this Wednesday night on WWE NXT television in a huge, hard-fought rematch from Takeover: Toronto, becoming the brand new NXT Tag Team Champions.
This win sets a new record for O’Reilly, who has now held the championships on three occasions. The Undisputed Era’s first reign was defended using the Freebird Rule and each member of the group was considered a champion. During the second reign the titles were held by O’Reilly and Roderick Strong, due to Fish being injured.
As for the future of the Street Profits, it seems nothing is certain at this time. The duo have been showing up backstage on Monday Night Raw to hype up matches for well over a month. However, the latest reports indicate that the duo are not currently slated to be moved to the main roster full-time, despite having dropped the belts.
