WWE Eyeing Famous NYC Venue for WrestleMania Week, WWE TLC Ticket Info, David Arquette In-Action This Week

According to PWInsider.com, WWE officials recently visited the world famous Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Lincoln Center is the home of the Metropolitan Opera, amongst other performing arts venues.

The report adds WWE is eyeing the venue for a possible WrestleMania 35 week event, however it’s unknown at this time what the event might be. It’s doubtful that the event will be AXXESS, as the venue is not an ideal setting for a convention style event, so it’s possible WWE might be looking to hold its annual presentation meeting with partners and licensees, or usual jobs fair for military veterans.

WWE TLC Ticket Information

David Arquette In-Action This Week

The following press release has been issued:

NEWBURGH – Actor David Arquette will be taking time off from filming his latest project to throw on some tights and jump in the ring for Hudson Valley fans.
Arquette is currently in Newburgh, working on his latest film titled Apalachin. The movie tells the story of a legendary meeting in Apalachin, NY between the heads of several mafia families back in 1957.

Back in 2000, after staring in the film Ready to Rumble, Arquette entered the real world of professional wrestling. A few celebrity appearances turned into a short-lived wrestling run, where Arquette found surprising success in the ring. The Scream actor eventually became the WCW World Heavyweight Champion.
After retiring from wrestling in 2000, Arquette went back to acting. But recently, he surprised fans by jumping back into the ring. In July Arquette reignited his wrestling career during a Champion Wrestling from Hollywood bout.

Arquette still has the wrestling bug. Northeast Wrestling made a surprise announcement that the actor would be entering the ring at the Hudson Valley Community Center (formerly the Jewish Community Center), 110 South Grand Avenue in Poughkeepsie, New York on Friday, September 14th at 8pm.  Arquette will be teaming up with Former WWE Superstar Hurricane Shane Helms to battle against King Brian Anthony and Lord Anthony Battle.  Arquette has a long history with Helms as he was Arquette’s double in the wrestling movie Ready to Rumble.

Anthony and Arquette have had a number of confrontations leading up to this match including at an event this past Saturday night in Bethany, CT when while Arquette was celebrating his birthday in the ring with the sold out crowd when Anthony pushed Arquette’s face in his birthday cake.

Also on the card includes former WWE Superstar Jack Swagger who defends the Northeast Wrestling Championship against Poughkeepsie’s Hale Collins, Jerry “The King” Lawler, New Windsor’s Bill Carr and much more.

There will be a meet and greet autograph session with Arquette, Swagger and all the stars beginning at 7pm.  Tickets start at only $20 available at www.northeastwrestling.com or at the Hudson Valley Community Center that night.
